Malbec 2007 Lake County-Red Hills Appellation
A beautiful color, this wine has deep purple extractions yet with a ruby color background a berry blackberry, red fruit like dried cherries and hints of mocha with a little spice bell pepper on the nose and the palate. This wine has medium acidity with some grip yet subtle enough to compliment the fresh plum fruit flavors. The texture is nice and with a filled up front mouth feel without astringency and gripping tannins. This wine subtly lingers on the palate.

Petit Verdot 2007 Lake County-Red Hills Appellation
This wine is a beautiful garnet to ruby color. The aromas of Bing Cherry and red and black fruits are predominant in this wine and white pepper spice. Black cherry on the palate and a little mint freshness light to medium bodied wine with fruit flavor and light to medium acidity. This is a ready to drink wine now socially or with food. This wine has texture and flavor without the boldness and heavy tannins of a Cabernet Sauvignon. The Petit Verdot variety is normally blended in wines as a secondary grape variety and in some Bordeaux blends or other wines to add a particular subtleness and texture to their balance and a bit of spice and floral aroma but in this case stands alone as a very nice wine with lively fruit and fresh aromatics ready to drink without any astringency and bitterness.

Petit Sirah 2007 Lake County-Red Hills Appellation
The phenolic extraction and color of the grapes leave a deep ruby/garnet color with slight purple hues. Light on the spice and nose yet this is a fruit driven dried fruit cherry, a little raspberry, blackberry with slight tartness to the cherry and berry flavors with even a hint of leather and dryness on the palate. This wine is medium bodied with great mouth feel with some complexity and texture on the palate. This wine has a nice finish without the overt acidity and tannins which make this wine a great wine to drink by itself or paired with food.
